Dr. Suresh Gokhale
Dr. Suresh Gokhale is MBBS, DCh and holds a Fellowship in sports medicine. He is a certified sports psychologist for over 50 years now. Dr. Suresh Gokhale has been actively taking lectures in various organizations and clubs to help the people realize the importance of fitness and sports. He works towards generating funds for Maya CARE Foundation.
Dr. Vidya Gokhale
After a 30-year career in medicine, Dr Vidya Gokhale retired as Professor of Pharmacology from BJ Medical College, Pune. She then acquired a degree in Indian classical dance (Bharatnatyam) and founded her own institute ‘Nritya Sadhana’. In her 70s, she continues to impart dance lessons to young students and is actively involved in Maya CARE operations.
Manjiri Gokhale Joshi

She has a Master’s degree in Mega-Project Management from Said Business School, University of Oxford. In 2016, Manjiri was one of the 12 professionals among 13,000 applicants selected by Linkedin and Virgin Media to assist Virgin Founder Richard Branson judge, select and mentor entrepreneurs for a UK-wide contest for a 1 million pound fund. She is a recipient of the British High Commission Chevening scholarship (2006).
Manjiri is a training and project management professional with experience in developing leaders who demonstrate measurable business outcome. Till March, 2020, Manjiri was CEO of Global Talent Track (GTT) an 11-year-old company specializing in corporate training and corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects with the mission to make India employable. GTT is a joint venture of Cisco, Intel and industry veterans Dr Uma Ganesh and Dr Ganesh Natarajan.
Manjiri spent over 25 years in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), IT, Education, Insurance, Media and Publishing industries. Before she moved to the UK 10 years ago, she contributed to the growth of Zensar BPO from 75 to 1000 people in the capacity of Head, HR and Head, Contact Centre. Prior to this, Manjiri has been an entrepreneur having successfully co-founded and led Elephant Connect, a highly profitable venture in the niche area of leadership training and project transformation.
Among her other past assignments are: Learning & Development Specialist and Head, Project Management (Primal) at Informa PLC, London, Programme Manager, GlobalLogic, UK, National Manager and Head, Corporate Communication, ICICI Lombard, Mumbai, Project Manager, E-learning, GE Capital, New Delhi, Assistant Editor, Dataquest, New Delhi, Director, Current Affairs, In Mumbai TV and Reporter and Sub-Editor, The Indian Express, Mumbai.

Abhay Joshi is Founder Director of Elephant Connect Education and has over 25 years of corporate managerial experience including eight years in training school and University students in Science, Maths and Engineering subjects. An accomplished educationist, Abhay’s mentoring has transformed struggling students into confident achievers performing to the best of their abilities. Abhay is also the founder of The Vi Educational foundation; a charity that works for children from underprivileged backgrounds by supporting them to achieve higher grades.
Abhay’s past assignments include: Head, Customer Delivery, Tech Mahindra, UK, Head, Professional Services, NSC Global, UK and Lecturer in Engineering, Maharashtra Institute of Technology, Pune, India. Abhay has been a School Governor at Radcliffe School, Milton Keynes UK and President of Lions Club International (Milton Keynes, UK). He is a certified private pilot.

A retired bank employee, joined Maya CARE in 2009 and has been actively involved in the day to day operations of Maya CARE in Mumbai. She herself is a senior citizen and a passionate volunteer who loves to bring smile on the face of everyone she meets.
Volunteer co – Ordinator, Pune region
Jyoti More has been with Maya CARE for 4 years now and handles the helpline numbers. Her day typically starts with answering phone calls of interested volunteers and elders seeking service and doesn’t end till she maps the right volunteer to the elderly seeking help. She has managed to overcome her physical challenges with a smile.
Project co – Ordinator, Pune region
Savita Kulkarni has been with Maya CARE since 2013. She was working with a nationalized bank previously. She has brought her corporate experience to the social sector and is now in charge of financial management and accounting.
Pratyusha Pinnali has been with Maya CARE since 2015 and has been working towards spreading its reach and bringing about awareness on Maya CARE projects. Based in Mumbai, she overlooks the operations of all 3 regions and hopes Maya CARE expands to other cities in India as well.
Volunteer co – Ordinator, Bengaluru region
Anil Kumar is an HR professional and has joined us in 2017. He is in charge of volunteer drives, awareness programmes in Bangalore and setting up Maya CARE operations in that city.
